IT@School distros

Here is an incomplete list of IT@School GNU/Linux distributions and its ISOs. This information was searched, compiled and torrents were made at FOSSMeet'24, NIT Calicut. If you would like to expand the list, please message in the SMC Telegram/Matrix group.

Motivation

All of us grew up seeing IT@School operating systems in school. For some of us, IT@School distros were the first interaction with a computer. Seeing this OS boot up and playing with the software inside is nostalgic to us. CD reader is a rarity to find nowadays and in many years time, these OS, now more than 10 years old might get lost. We wanted to prevent it from happening.

List

All the ISOs have been uploaded to Internet Archive. We recommend using a torrent client to download the ISOs. Transmission is a good torrent client.

You can use a software like Virtual Box to boot these ISOs and try it out.
