  • I do not know Malayalam. Can I still participate successfully?

It is not a requirement to know Malayalam to participated in GSoc as part of Indic Project. But it will be good if you are good in some Indian language along with listed technologies.

  • I have a project idea that is not listed in project ideas. Can I propose new projects?

Of course. You are encouraged to propose any fresh project ideas with as much as details you can give. If the idea matches with the objectives of Indic Project, we will be happy to evaluate it for GSOC. Indic Project is umbrella project for Libindic. So you are welcome to submit proposals for other languages too.

  • I am interested in a project. How do I get started?

Please go through the log of the introduction meeting. If your idea is to extend a current project, the best way to start would be to get the current project running on your computer. Try to fix small bugs and get a feel of the development. When you are comfortable, start working on your application.
