phonetic XIM malayalam input method by [[User:jinesh.k|ജിനേഷ്]]
'ലളിത' അതിന്റെ പേര് സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നതു പോലെ ലളിതവും സുഗമവുമായ രീതിയാണ്.
XIM(X Input Method) ഗ്നു/ലിനക്സ് പ്രവര്‍ത്തകസംവിധാനത്തിലെ അടിസ്ഥാന നിവേശകരീതി(Input method) ആണ്.
==ഉപയോഗം==
നാലു തട്ടുകളുള്ള layout ആണ് ഇവിടെ ഉപയോഗിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. അതായത് ഒരു keyക്ക് അക്ഷരമാലയിലെ 4 ചിഹ്നങ്ങളെ വരെ പ്രധിനിധീകരിക്കാം.

'Shift+o' gives ോ
'Right Alt+o' gives ഒ
'Right Alt+Shift+o' gives ഓ
ലളിതയില്‍ ഇപ്പോള്‍ ഉപയോഗത്തിലുള്ള അറബിക് അക്കങ്ങളും മലയാളം അക്കങ്ങളും സന്നിവേശിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടണ്ട്.

'Right Alt+1' gives ൧
കൂടാതെ കീബോര്‍ഡിലുള്ള പരമാവധി ചിഹ്നങ്ങളെയും നിലനിര്‍ത്തിക്കൊണ്ടാണ് ലളിത തയ്യാറാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നത്.

[http://groups.google.com/group/smc-discuss/files ഇവിടെ] നിന്നും Lalitha.tar.gz ഡൌണ്‍ലോഡ് ചെയ്യുക.
untar ചെയ്ത ശേഷം Lalitha എന്ന കൂടയില്‍ കയറി root അവകാശങ്ങളോടുകൂടി install.sh എന്ന സ്ക്രിപ്റ്റ് പ്രവര്‍ത്തിപ്പിക്കുക.
ലിപി വിന്യാസം കാണുന്നതിനും, README ക്കുമായി, /usr/share/doc/Lalitha-ml നോക്കുക.
